Belly pictures- Round 1

12 weeks pregnant.

Thought i would start taking belly pictures.

In the first 4-5 months of being prego, I lost 15 pds from being sick almost daily!

You'll notice that baby belly progression is rather slow compared to some people.

16 weeks.

20 weeks.

23 weeks.

Since we've been gone....

...we've probably got some catching up to do.

Yes, i haven't written since October when I was missing the days of summer at the Folks Festival.

Yes, we are super busy people who have probably been way too stressed. Blog was one of first things to go.

Yes, i am happy that summer has returned!!

FIVE Highlights of our crazy year:

1. Family. We spent Thanksgiving in NC, Christmas here in CO, and were able to go to FL for Spring Break to see Timothy, Dana, Dominick, and Bella. We loved these times. We love and appreciate our family. And we're excited that we're having our own...

2. Mini Manz. A baby boy. We couldn't be more excited to be expecting a son somewhere around October 20, 2010. We love him already. He had the cutest stick legs on his 12 week ultrasound. Yes, I was sick for the first 15 weeks. Really sick. But we were/are incredibly thankful every day for this blessing to our lives. We can't wait to meet you, mini.

3. Jobs. We both work really, really hard. We're thankful that we enjoy what we do most of the time and that we have jobs when so many people are hurting in this economy. I was happy to not be a coordinator this year, have very few interactions with the principal, and to enjoy being a counselor again. I was able to spend a lot of time with my kids. My kids who need a lot of support. I felt like I was a better counselor to them. And we had fun in ways I never expected...

4. Climbing Club/Girls Tennis Team. In the fall, I was asked to help with the climbing club at school. Mostly boys. Every week at Rock'n Jam'n. We had a blast. In February, i learned that the girls' tennis team needed an assistant coach. Haven't played tennis in years but they didn't care. I agreed and found out the next day that I was pregnant. Oops. It got me outside every day and I worked with some amazing girls. We all learned a lot. And I never would have done either of these things if I were still a coordinator.

5. Friends. We have some of the best friends in the world. There have been a lot of laughs, and we've had a lot of fun. Friday nights in Boulder. Happy hours with the girls. J getting sushi with Rance. Musicals. Celebrating the births of baby Christol and baby Nelson. Cookouts. Our annual Christmas party. Sharing meals. You guys are family to us.

Yes, it's been a great year.

Summer, how i miss thee....

One of our favorite weekends of the summer is always Folks Fest, held right here in Lyons during August. This year we got free 3-day passes because I am a new resident of Lyons and went to a Chamber of Commerce meeting. (Thanks Corrie for going with me!) We were so excited that our friends, the Nelsons, came up for one of the days. We found a great spot and stayed for hours listening to great music. When i think of missing summer, this would definitely be a reason why....

Crusin' to AK- Sitka

Our day in Sitka, AK was probably our favorite of the entire trip. The views were great, the town was small, and we loved walking through the national park. We even got to see a pair of bald eagles.

We hiked a really long time to get to this memorial. We were slightly disappointed.

Crusin' around AK- Glacier Bay

We spent a day cruising around Glacier Bay, a beautiful part of the Inside Passage of Alaska. Notice our attire... we had just been working out in the gym when we pulled up to the glacier behind us. With the sun so bright, we were warm!
